Product Overview

The Kwikot Superline 400 Dual 250L is a high-pressure electric storage geyser with a 4kW element and a B energy rating. Its larger storage capacity is designed for domestic installations with higher hot water storage requirements. A renewable-energy connection provides for a separately specified solar thermal retrofit or heat pump system.

The 250L model provides additional storage for installations where a smaller cylinder would not meet the assessed hot water requirement. Its enamelled steel cylinder, polyurethane insulation and renewable-energy connection support conventional electric use with an option to add a suitable alternative heat source later. Important Notes

• Solar-ready supply: This is an electric geyser, not a complete solar water heating system. Solar collectors, circulation equipment, controls and any heat pump are separate purchases. PV panels cannot be connected directly to the standard element; a PV conversion requires purpose-designed compatible equipment.
• Included: Kwikot temperature and pressure safety valve and drain cock.
• Required separately: An appropriately rated pressure control valve, compliant drip tray and vacuum breakers, plus installation-specific plumbing, electrical and mounting materials.
• Installation: Use a qualified plumber and electrician. Follow SANS 10254, applicable electrical requirements and Kwikot's instructions. The pressure control setting must not exceed 400kPa.
• Mounting and servicing: The 250L unit must be floor mounted or installed vertically on a suitable floor stand. Ordinary wall mounting is not suitable; Kwikot permits wall mounting only with its specified gallows brackets, part IND-200-B, and an appropriately designed installation. Allow for the filled weight and 1200mm service clearance on each side.
• Dimensions: The dimensions below follow Kwikot's current brochure, including dimension B of 630mm. Confirm the supplied unit's dimensions before purchase where installation space is restricted.
• Warranty: Five years on the inner cylinder, flange assembly plate and gasket; one year on the element and thermostat; two years on the safety valve and drain cock. Coverage is subject to Kwikot's installation, maintenance, water-quality and genuine-parts conditions. Retain proof of installation; otherwise the warranty starts from manufacture. Installation warranties are the installer's responsibility.
