Scope of supply: Geyser cylinder with electric backup. Solar collectors or vacuum tubes, mounting frames, circulation pump, controls and installation materials are not included as a complete system. Kwikot specifies a temperature and pressure safety valve and drain cock with the water heater; confirm the supplied accessory pack.

Climate and water quality: Direct flat plate systems are intended for areas where ambient temperature stays above 5°C and water has less than 600ppm total dissolved solids. Frost-resistant vacuum tube systems require the specified manifold and silicone frost-protection components; a direct cylinder alone does not provide frost protection.

Installation: Use a suitably qualified solar water heating installer and electrician. Follow SANS 10106, SANS 10254 and Kwikot's instructions. Thermosyphon circulation requires the cylinder above the collectors; other layouts may need a pump and controller. Assess the structure for the filled system weight.

Maintenance: Service the anodes according to local water quality and Kwikot's instructions. Keep safe access for servicing.
