Solar-ready supply: This is an electric geyser, not a complete solar water heating system. Solar collectors, circulation equipment, controls and any heat pump are separate purchases. The renewable-energy plumbing connection does not allow direct connection of PV panels to the standard electric element; a PV conversion requires purpose-designed compatible equipment.

Included: Kwikot temperature and pressure safety valve and drain cock.

Required separately: An appropriately rated pressure control valve, compliant drip tray and vacuum breakers, plus installation-specific plumbing and electrical materials.

Installation: Use a qualified plumber and electrician. Install to SANS 10254, applicable electrical requirements and Kwikot's instructions. The pressure control setting must not exceed the geyser's 400kPa rating.

Mounting and servicing: Allow for the filled weight and adequate structural support. Kwikot specifies 600mm service clearance on each side for this 100L model; follow the manual for all access requirements and bracket positioning.

Warranty: Five years on the inner cylinder; one year on the element and thermostat; two years on the safety valve and drain cock. Coverage is subject to Kwikot's installation, maintenance, water-quality and genuine-parts conditions. Retain proof of installation; otherwise the warranty start date is determined from manufacture.
