Important Notes

Solar-ready supply: This is an electric geyser, not a complete solar water heating system. Solar collectors, circulation equipment, controls and any heat pump are separate purchases. PV panels cannot be connected directly to the standard element; a PV conversion requires purpose-designed compatible equipment.

Included: Kwikot temperature and pressure safety valve and drain cock.

Required separately: An appropriately rated pressure control valve, compliant drip tray and vacuum breakers, plus installation-specific plumbing, electrical and mounting materials.

Installation: Use a qualified plumber and electrician. Follow SANS 10254, applicable electrical requirements and Kwikot's instructions. The pressure control setting must not exceed 600kPa. For a lower-pressure installation, have the installer specify correctly matched pressure-control and safety components.

Mounting and servicing: Allow for the filled weight, adequate structural support and 800mm service clearance on each side. Follow the manufacturer's bracket-positioning and access requirements.

Warranty: Five years on the inner cylinder, flange assembly plate and gasket; one year on the element and thermostat; two years on the safety valve and drain cock. Coverage is subject to Kwikot's installation, maintenance, water-quality and genuine-parts conditions. Retain proof of installation; otherwise the warranty starts from manufacture. Installation warranties are the installer's responsibility.
