For Mandela Day we paid a visit to the Jones Safe House, a registered non-profit organization near Kommetjie that takes on abused, abandoned, and neglected children and abused/addicted mothers. The founders, Donovan and Bernadette Jones, together with their family, provide a stable, loving home where healing can begin and these at-risk children, and their mothers, can grow and flourish and, if at all possible, be safely re-integrated into their families and society. Read More The second slideshow shows a cleanup we hosted in 2014 at Zandvlei in Muizenberg. The estuary, just down the road from our offices are an important nursery for the ocean and the survival of a wide range of species. Other community work last year includes volunteering at animal rehabilitation centre, TEARS in Vishoek and a donation of 67 Everlight Solar Lights to OSCAP (Outraged South Africans Against Rhino Poaching).
