The R-value of insulation is a value that is used to measure how well a specific type of insulation can resist heat flow. The higher the R-value, the more effective the material is at preventing heat transfer. The R-value is calculated by dividing the insulation by its K-value.

Compliance

Installation Note
Insulation installed outside and exposed to weather must be coated with a suitable UV-resistant paint or covered with a slip cover to avoid or slow degradation.
